PITTSBURGH – Highlighted by eight home dual matches, a spring break trip to Charleston and the Atlantic 10 Championships at the USTA National Campus, the Duquesne men's tennis team announced its 2020 Spring schedule on Tuesday.
The Dukes opens their home slate at the Alpha Tennis and Fitness of Pittsburgh on Jan. 25 against Mount St. Mary's and close the weekend in Harmar against Carnegie Mellon (Jan. 26).
Duquesne's first road trip of the season is against A-10 foes VCU (Jan. 31) and George Washington (Feb. 1). Up next for the Dukes is a conference home weekend against Richmond (Feb. 8) and Dayton (Feb. 9).
After four consecutive conference matches, Duquesne will jump out of conference for the next four, battling Denison (Feb. 15) at home, before heading to Keystone State competition in Penn State (Feb. 16), Lehigh (Feb. 22) and Drexel (Bethlehem, Pa., Feb. 23)
Spring break follows, as the Dukes head to Charleston, S.C. to face Davidson in Atlantic 10 play on March 3. Duquesne closes out its trip against the College of Charleston on March 6.
Atlantic 10 conference matches resume on March 10, as the Dukes will meet Saint Joseph's at Alpha Tennis in its first home match in nearly a month. St. Bonaventure is next on the slate for men's tennis, as Duquesne hosts the Bonnies on March 27.
Duquesne heads to the Rock and Roll Capital of the World to face Cleveland State on March 29, before wrapping up its home schedule and against Saint Francis for Senior Day on April 4.
The Dukes close the regular season on the road against Youngstown State (April 5), Georgetown (April 9), George Mason (April 10) and Carnegie Mellon (April 19).
The Atlantic 10 Championships will take place April 23-26 at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
