PITTSBURGH – The Duquesne women's basketball team seeks to end a three-game losing skid on Saturday, when the Dukes (10-5, 0-2 A-10) hosts the La Salle Explorers (6-9, 0-2 A10) on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at La Roche University.

THE SERIES: The Dukes have won five consecutive matchups against Explorers, grabbing a 20-18 lead in the all-time series as a result. Since the 2008 season, Duquesne has posted a 11-1 record against La Salle, with the lone blemish coming in the 2013-14 season, Dan Burt's first at the helm of the Dukes. In the most recent contest, Duquesne earned a tightly fought 66-62 win at Tom Gola Arena last season, converting 16-of-22 attempts from the stripe.
LAST TIME OUT: Despite a hot start offensively, the Duquesne women's basketball team fell to George Washington, 65-60, on Wednesday afternoon at the Charles E. Smith Center. Duquesne made 61.5 percent of its shots from the field in the first half, but struggled to have shots fall as the game progressed, connecting on 2-of-17 field goals in the fourth quarter. The Colonials, who shot 3-of-14 in the fourth quarter, converted a 3-pointer and made 5-of-7 shots from the stripe. As a result, George Washington ended the game on a 15-4 run to earn its first A-10 victory of the season.

- Â Â Â Â Â The Dukes were held under 72 points for just the second time this season against GW, but the Dukes continue to lead the conference in scoring offense (72.6 ppg). Duquesne has scored at least 72 points in all six home games this season.

- Â Â Â Â Â Bazelak is the only player in the conference averaging at least 13 points, six-plus rebounds and four assists per game this season.
- Â Â Â Â Â Laia Solé leads the A-10 in field goal percentage, converting 50.7 percent of her attempts.
SCOUTING LA SALLE: The Explorers enter Saturday's contest on an eight-game losing skid, last earning a win against UMBC in neutral site action at Annapolis, Md. La Salle fell to Dayton (98-58) and Saint Louis (77-61) to begin A-10 play, as both the Explorers and Dukes seek their first win in conference on Saturday. Claire Jacobs averages 11.4 points as the leading scorer, while Shalina Miller cleans the glass with 7.9 boards per contest. Miller is among the best shot blockers in the conference and nation, posting 2.47 swats per game (2nd in A-10, 21st nationally). Kate Hill leads the conference and ranks 14th in the country in assist to turnover ratio (2.64).
