Duquesne (3-0-1) completes its season-opening five-game homestand against Cal Baptist (1-3-1) on Sunday, Sept. 15 at noon. DU, which is off to its best start since 2014 (3-0-2), is coming off a 2-1 win over Niagara on Tuesday night. The Dukes have surrendered just two goals on the young season. THE SERIES VS. CAL BAPTIST
- This is the first meeting between the Dukes and Lancers, who compete in the Western Athletic Conference.
- Duquesne is 1-1 all-time vs. schools that comprise the current WAC with a home loss to Air Force (3-2 on Sept. 11, 2011) and a home win over Incarnate Word (1-0 on Sept. 8, 2013 in the Duquesne Invitational).
- The Duquesne game ends a two-game road trip for CSU, which fell at Robert Morris, 2-1 on Thursday afternoon.

- Duquesne has surrendered just two goals on 62 shots (22 on goal) through four matches.
- DU had a no goals against streak of 367:38 snapped when Niagara found the back of the net in the 85th minute on Tuesday night. Duquesne freshman Nate Dragisich scored four minutes later to give the Dukes a 2-1 win over the Purple Eagles.
- The Dukes haven't trailed since the 54th minute of the season opening draw with Bowling Green.
- Neither Duquesne nor its opponent has enjoyed a lead of more than one goal at any point of the game this season.
- Senior goalkeeper Robbie McKelvey, the Sept. 3 A-10 Defensive Player of the Week, has given up just two goals in 380 minutes. He enters the CSU game with 20 total saves and a 0.47 goals against average.
- DU's five goals this season have come from five players: senior Zach Hall (eighth career vs. Bowling Green), sophomore Manel Busquets (fifth career, and first game-winner, vs. Oakland), sophomore Eric Zech (first career vs. VMI), first-year St. John's transfer Jack Shearer (fourth career and first as a Duke vs. Niagara) and Nate Dragisich (first career, game-winner vs. Niagara).
- Zach Hall leads the Dukes with 12 shots (team-high six on goal). He is followed by Manel Busquets and Nate Dragisich with 11 each. Dragisich and Jack Shearer have five shots on goal apiece.
- Duquesne is in its seventh season under head coach Chase Brooks. Brooks has led the Dukes to three Atlantic 10 Conference tournament appearances (2013, 2015 & 2016).
- The Dukes return field eight players who started 10 or more games last season in seniors D Zach Hall (15/12) & D/M Ryan Landry (14/14), along with sophomores D Mortiz Kappelsberger (16/16), D/M Nathan Dossantos (16/16), D/M Rob Dymond (13/11), F Manel Busquets (15/15), D Eric Zech (16/16) and Kendall Newman (15/15). McKelvey started 12 of the 13 matches he played last season (1151 minutes). Landry was lost for the season due to a preseason foot injury.
- Busquets (11 points, 4 goals) and Dymond (7 points, 3 goals) were DU's top returning point-getters and goal scorers from last season. Hall and Kappelsberger (both 5 points, 2 goals) were next. Dossantos was the only other returnee with a point last year (2 points on one goal).
- Hall leads all returnees in career games (53) and starts (49). Landry, who is out for the season (foot injury) was next at 45 and 39. No other returning field player entered the season with more than 16 games played (Dossantos, Kappelsberger & Zech at 16 each).
- The Dukes have 11 first-year players on the 2019 roster including nine freshmen (including one redshirt) and a pair of transfers in junior F Jack Shearer (St. John's) and junior F Waleed Charif (West Liberty). Shearer, a native of Aliquippa, Pa., played in 35 matches with 26 starts in two seasons at SJU.
