GAME NOTES
  • The 4-0 Dukes return to the turf to host Louisville out of the ACC on Tuesday, March 12 at noon at Arthur J. Rooney Field.
  • This is Duquesne's second 4-0 start in program history and the first since the 1999 season.
  • This will be the third meeting between the two teams. The Cardinals have won each of the first two games over the Dukes.
  • Duquesne sports the top scoring offense in the country, averaging 19.5 goals per game ahead of Notre Dame second (19.3), Boston College third (18.5), Northwestern fourth (17.86) and UMass fifth (17.4).
  • The Dukes are also first in the nation in shots per game (49.0), shots on goal per game (35.75), caused turnovers per game at (18.75), ground balls per game (30.75) while sitting second in assists per game (9.5), points per game (29.0) and scoring margin (+12.50)
  • Michaela Connolly leads Duquesne with 22 points on the season with a team-high 10 assists.
  • Megan Buettner paces the Dukes with 13 goals followed by Connolly with 12 and Rilee Bradshaw with 11.
  • Maddie Hart has tallied team-highs of 29 draw controls and 16 ground balls. Hart ranks 10th in the country with 7.25 draw controls per game.
  • Connolly has also recorded 16 ground balls for the team lead.
  • Sydney Reed has a team-high 14 caused turnovers with 14 ground balls.
  • Maddy Curtis is 4-0 in goal for Duquesne with 20 saves. She is seventh in the country with a 7.79 goals against average.
THE LAST MEETING
  • Louisville claimed a 15-6 victory over the visiting Dukes at the UofL Lacrosse Stadium on March 21, 2017.
  • Sarah Kollhoff matched a game high with two goals while Megan Konieczny netted her first career-goal as a Duke. 
  • Maddy Curtis posted 12 saves in her first start in net for Duquesne.
  • The Dukes held the ACC's leading scorer Hannah Koloski and fourth-leading scorer Meghan Siverson to two goals apiece.
SCOUTING THE CARDINALS
  • Louisville enters with a 2-6 overall mark on the season including an 0-2 ledger in ACC play.
  • The Cards dropped an 11-10 decision to No. 15 Duke on Sunday at home.
  • Tessa Chad paces Louisville with 21 points including a team-high 19 goals on the year.
  • The Cards' victories this season came against Mercer and Butler.
  • Four of Louisville's six losses came against ranked opponents (Northwestern, Denver, Notre Dame and Duke)
NEXT UP
  • The Dukes host Central Michigan on Friday, March 15 at 3 p.m. ET at Rooney Field.
  • Duquesne then hits the road to open A-10 play at VCU on Friday, March 22.
