NEWPORT NEWS, Va. – On Thursday, the Atlantic 10 announced that juniors Deena DeBaldo and Lauren Bell have been recognized with all-conference honors. DeBaldo's stellar junior campaign earned her A-10 Second Team honors. DeBaldo and Bell both landed on the A-10's All-Academic Team.

DeBaldo registered nine goals in 2019, leading the Dukes with 22 total points. The native of Fox Chapel was just one goal away from tying the school single season record. Her 22 points rank fourth best ever for a Duke. She tied a Duquesne single-game record with three goals against Youngstown State.

DeBaldo, an excellent student, posted a 3.81 GPA as an early childhood education major. In Spring 2019, DeBaldo posted a perfect 4.0 GPA.  She is a dean's list student, and has made appearances on the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Director of Athletics' Honor Roll.

Bell recorded a 3.88 GPA as a biochemistry major to earn all-academic status. The Hermitage native tied for the third on the team this season with six points, which includes a game-winning goal against Lehigh in double-overtime which propelled the Dukes to their first win of the season. Bellis a dean's list student, and has made appearances on the A-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll and Director of Athletics' Honor Roll.
