PITTSBURGH – Five Duquesne men's tennis student-athletes will make the trek to Charlottesville, Va. for the highly-competitive ITA Atlantic Regional championships beginning Oct. 17 and lasts until Oct. 21.

Alejandro Rodriguez-Vidal Alex Mascioli and
Jared Isaacs will compete in singles play, which features 256 athletes from 22 schools, including Delaware, George Mason, Georgetown, Hampton, Howard, James Madison, Liberty, Longwood, Morgan State, Mount. St. Mary's, Navy, Old Dominion, Penn State, Radford, Richmond, Saint Joseph's VCU, Villanova, Virginia, Virginia Tech and William & Mary.
Lea will take on Guilherme Valdoleiros of Delaware in the first round on Thursday. The winner will take on Gabriel Santos (Mount St. Mary) and Conor Lee of (Georgetown).
Rodriguez-Vidal's first opponent will be Harry Yang of Georgetown. The victor will battle James Wilkinson of Delaware.
Mascioli opens the regional against Oren Vasser of William and Mary, with the winner facing either Christian Pumpelly (Navy) or Beekman Schaeffer (Saint Joseph's).
Isaacs drew Guillermo Cagigas (Longwood) in the round of 256. If Isaacs wins, he will take on Greg Durham (Navy) or Rithik Sardana (George Mason).
The singles matches will be 2 out of three sets, and features a consolation match for those that don't win the first match to guarantee at least two single matches for every competitor.
Doubles play features a 64-team draw, with Isaacs/Macioli and Alejandro/
Jin Dassanayake representing the Dukes.
The sites include Snyder Tennis Center (13 courts), Dell Courts (4 courts) and Boar's Head Sports Club (4 courts) with the University of Virginia serving as the host school.
