Although rains washed away the schedule matches on Saturday, the Duquesne women's tennis team was able to play a day's worth of matches on Friday in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational. The Dukes and Tartans played 22 matches, spanning eight hours. The Dukes won 11 of the 13 singles matches and seven of the nine doubles matches.
 
HOW IT HAPPENED

• Julianne Herman turned in a perfect day, winning twice in both singles and doubles
• Laurel Shymansky, who teamed with Herman, also won her singles matches
• Aishwarya Kona went undefeated, winning two matches in singles and doubles
• Priyanka Mitta won a singles match two doubles matches in her college debut
• Maddy Adams won three doubles matches and split her two singles matches
• Maranda Sears won her singles match and two out of three doubles matches
• Tyra Abdalla won one singles match
• Miranda Bishard also won a singles match
• Meredith Lee won one double match
