RESULTS
WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -The Duquesne men's track and field team placed seventh out of 41 teams at the 53rd Annual Colonial Relays hosted by William & Mary at Zable Stadium. The Dukes recorded 46 points over the three-day event.
The host Tribe won the meet with 74 points followed by Rhode Island in second with 63 points and UMass Lowell third with 58 points.
The Dukes' 4x100-meter relay team of freshman Andrew George (Louisville, Ohio/St. Thomas Aquinas), senior Robert Norman (Moon Township, Pa./Moon Area), sophomore Levi DeBlase (Somerset, Pa./Somerset Area) and freshman Isaac Elliott (Ambridge, Pa./Ambridge) won the event with a time of 42.64.
In addition, the Duquesne 4x200-meter relay team consisting of George, Norman, senior David O'Such (Collegeville, Pa./Spring-Ford) and Elliott earned a second-place time of 1:28.58 in the event.
Sophomore Alex Long (Waymart, Pa./Western Wayne) placed second in the long jump with a mark of 13.74 meters. O'Such placed third in the 400-meter dash with a time of 47.80 while senior Rico Galassi (Dickson City, Pa./Holy Cross) recorded a third-place time in the 5,000-meter run, crossing the finish line in 14:30.69.
