QUICK RECAP: The Duquesne women's tennis team defeated George Washington 4-2 before falling to Richmond 4-3 this weekend.

The match against the Colonials was moved indoors because of the cold weather conditions. The Dukes took four of the six singles points to win the match 4-2. Doubles was no played. Kylie Isaacs defeated over Teodora Radosavljevic 6-2, 6-2 at #1. Julianne Herman was a 6-2, 7-6 (7-4) over Sara Grubac at #2. Alexa Miller won at #3 against Allison Hansen 6-7 (4-7), 7-5, 6-1 and Ally Miller took #6 singles over Egle Jakuciunaite 6-4, 7-5.

Against the Spiders, the Dukes dropped a hard-fought match 4-3. Isaacs and Herman were 6-2 winner at #1 doubles over Brittany Boys and Katya Salas. Ally Miller and Zuzanna Stelmaszak won at #2 doubles 7-5 over Gaby Rosales and Ana Ramirez. Alexa Miller and Megan Wasson were leading 5-4 at #3 doubles over Emily Gitman and Anna Abadias Morales when the point was decided.

In singles, Isaacs and Herman were winners at #1 and #2. Isaaces over Morales 6-4, 6-1 and Herman over Rosales 6-4, 6-3.

UP NEXT: The Dukes travel to Washington County to take on California University of Pennsylvania on Sunday. The Vulcans (13-2) are ranked #18 in Division II.
