QUICK RECAP: Julianne Herman was crowned Viking Invitational Singles Champion after going 3-0 in the three-day event held on the campus of Cleveland State University. The sophomore from Philadelphia picked up wins against Akron's Ariadna Blinova 6-3, 6-3, Cleveland State's Isalballa Spindler 6-1, 6-3 and West Virginia's Lyn Yuen Choo 6-1, 6-4.

As a team in singles, the Dukes won four of six matches against CSU, three of six against Akron and four of seven matches against WVU.

In doubles, Duquesne won two matches against Akron, one over CSU and a pair over SVU

UP NEXT: The Fall 2016 season closes out at the ITA Regional Championships in Norfolk, Va. The five-day event runs from Oct. 14-18.
