@DuqMSoccer and @DuqWSoccer Receive College Team Academic Award

KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Both Duquesne soccer programs have earned the NSCAA Team Academic Award for exemplary performance in the classroom as a team during the 2015-16 academic year. Duquesne is one of 221 schools receiving honors for both their men and women's teams.

To qualify for the award, the team must have a minimum grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the entire academic year. The team GPA is determined by adding every player's GPA, then dividing by the number of players.

The men's team has been recognized for 17 of the past 18 years. Since the award was instituted in 1996, Duquesne has has been recognized more than any other Atlantic 10 program.

The women's team has been recognized a total of 12 times. They finished with the highest GPA of all of the varsity athletic teams in 2015-16. Each student-athlete on the team had at least a 3.0 GPA for the Fall 2015 or Spring 2016 semester or both.
