FAIRFAX, Va. - Duquesne outscored George Mason 23-12 in the 4th quarter to come away with a 72-56 victory at EagleBank Arena on Thursday night.

Deva'Nyar Workman recorded a double-double with game-highs with 21 points, 12 rebounds and a career-high seven assists and a perfect 9-for-9 from the line for the Dukes, who improve to 14-1 overall, 2-0 in the Atlantic 10 Conference and extend their program-best winning streak to 13 games. Amadea Szamosi added 13 points and April Robinson scored 11 with seven assists. Kadri-Ann Lass scored 13 had a career-high six blocks.

Taylor Brown led Mason (6-9, 1-1 A-10) with 16 points

The 1st quarter had three ties and a pair of lead changes. Mason scored the game's first five points before a jumper from Emilie Gronas an and-1 from Workman followed by a 3-pointer from Gronas gave Duquesne its first lead of the game at 8-7. Mason's Wright would answer with a jumper on the next possession to regain the lead for the Patriots. Szamosi's layup with 1:09 left tied the score at 15-15 heading into the next quarter.

Robinson's layup to open the 2nd quarter scoring put the Dukes ahead 17-15, but a 17-8 run for Mason over the next 6:43 gave them their largest lead of the game at 32-25. Duquesne ended the quarter by scoring the final six points to cut the deficit to 32-31 heading into halftime.

Trailing 37-34 at the 7:03 mark of the 3rd quarter, Duquesne went on a 10-2 run over the next 2:52 to take a 44-39 lead with 3:15 left, forcing a Patriots timeout. The Dukes' advantage would reach seven points at 46-36 after Szamosi converted a pair of free throws at the 2:01 mark. They would match that seven point lead on a Conor Richardson 3-pointer with 45 seconds remaining that made the score 49-42. Brown's layup closed out the quarter scoring with the Dukes leading 49-45.

With Duquesne leading 51-50 early in the 4th quarter, the Dukes went on a 16-4 run over the next 5:31, capped by Chassidy Omogrosso's 3-pointer, to take a commanding 13-point lead at 67-54 with 1:58 remaining. The lead would reach 16 points when Robinson free throws closed out the scoring.

"We didn't play very well tonight and credit should go to George Mason, they had a great game plan and executed well against us," said head coach Dan Burt.

"Dev played well for us again, her ability to rebound from the guard position is a difference maker."

Workman's 12 boards was her second-highest total this season (14 at Pittsburgh).

"To win on the road against a well-coached team while not shooting the ball well is invaluable as we continue our journey."

Duquesne made 23-of-60 attempts, including 7-of 26 from 3-point range for 38.3 percent tonight.

The Dukes forced 17 Mason turnovers that resulted in 25 points.

Up next, Duquesne will host Fordham (6-9, 1-1 A-10) on Sunday. The Rams lost to St. Bonaventure 55-41 earlier this evening. The game will be nationally broadcast on CBS Sports Network with Ed Cohen and Julianne Viani on the call. Tipoff will be at 12:05 p.m.
