2016 Olympic qualifying schedule

Former Duquesne women's soccer midfielder Stephanie Colon is currently representing Puerto Rico in the 2016 Olympic qualifying rounds.

Puerto Rico is in Group A with United States, Mexico and Costa Rica. The top two teams from the group qualify for the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

This is the furthest any Puerto Rican team has advanced. They recently finished second in the 32-team Caribbean Football Union.

"We are proud of the opportunity that Stephanie has representing Puerto Rico," said head coach Al Alvine. "She has worked extremely hard which has paid off. Her work ethic, commitment to training and desire to compete will present a challenge to her opponents."

Puerto Rico begins play Feb. 10th against Mexico and continues with matches against Costa Rica on Feb. 13th and USA on Feb. 16th.
