Sept. 28, 2015 NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Duquesne sophomore forward Linnea Faccenda the league's Player of the Week.
Faccenda assisted on the game-winning goal and added an insurance goal in Duquesne 2-0 victory over Bucknell on Tuesday night.
For the season, she has a two of goals and two assists for six points.
This is Faccenda's first-ever conference A-10 weekly award.
This is the third weekly honor for Duquesne this season (see below), which is the most since 2005 when the Dukes also received three. The most in program history is four in 2001.
The Dukes (5-4-0) open up the 2015 Atlantic 10 schedule when they visit Richmond on Friday night. Duquesne returns home on Sunday at 1:00 p.m. to host VCU.
