Aug. 24, 2015 NEWPORT NEWS - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Duquesne freshman Kristen Kotsopoulos the league's Co-Rookie of the Week.
Kotsopoulos scored twice â€" including the game-winner - in the Dukes' 3-0 victory over Saint Francis U on Sunday. The win gave Duquesne the 2015 Steel City Classic championship.
In the two matches played this past weekend (including a 2-0 win over Robert Morris on Friday), Kotsopoulos totaled four shots, all on goal.
She becomes the first player to be honored as A-10 Rookie of the Week since Maggie Mayo on October 8, 2013.
Duquesne (2-0-0) plays at #10/12 West Virginia on Sunday at 3:00 p.m.
