JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Senior Ian Welch concluded his career in Red & Blue as he represented the Duquesne men's track & field team in two events at the NCAA East Regional this past weekend in Jacksonville, Fla.
Welch competed in the long jump and triple jump, finishing among the top-35 in both events.
He opened the meet with a mark of 7.23m in the long jump, good enough for 26th place. The Pittsburgh, Pa. native then recorded a 31st-place leap of 15.01m in the triple.
The trip to Jacksonville capped off a banner year for Welch, who broke his own school records in both events and won the Atlantic 10 title in the long jump.
