A QUICK LOOK BACK
Duquesne women's soccer history was made in November 8, 2015. For the first time in school history, Duquesne was crowned Atlantic 10 Conference champions. The Dukes, who were a #7 seed coming into the championship, opened up championship play in the quarterfinal round against defending champion #2 seed Dayton. Duquesne was able to pull off one of their most shocking upsets in program history when they advanced to the semifinal round after winning the match in a shootout. Vanessa Perdomo set an A-10 Championship single-game record with 14 saves. Katie O'Connor scored the Dukes' goal and Maggie Mayo, Casey Aunkst and Abby Weber each scored in the shootout.

In the semifinal round, Duquesne pulled a second straight upset in as many days when they defeated regular season champion La Salle 2-1. This was the Dukes' first-ever A-10 Championship victory. Weber got the Dukes on the board with an early PK and Danya Fenech scored the game-winner in the 78th minute.

The Dukes met Fordham in the tournament final. After 76 minutes of scoreless play, freshman Abby Losco netted the game-winner in the Dukes' 2-0 victory. With the win, Duquesne represents the Atlantic 10 Conference as league champions at the 2015 NCAA Women's Soccer Championship.

NO STRANGER TO THE NCAA CHAMPIONSHIP
Although this is Duquesne's first trip to the NCAA Championship, head coach Al Alvine has been to the dance before. As head coach of California, Pa., Alvine took the Vulcans to the Division II championship three times (2009, 2010, 2011) - twice advancing to the quarterfinals.
