NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - The Atlantic 10 Conference has named Alex Aleman the league's player of the week. The award was based on matches played Jan. 11th through Jan. 25th.

Aleman went a perfect 4-0, earning a pair of wins at #3 singles and #2 doubles. He fought back after dropping the 1st set against Morehead State's Gabriel Ruiz to win 6-7, 6-3, 6-1. Alexman was also a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Sharvil Nawghare of Youngstown State. Along with partner Harry Walshe, the duo won 8-2 over MSU's Garrett Mandrell and Nick Mercer as well as a 6-3 victory over YSU's Hugo Morth and Victor Pereira.

This is Aleman's second A-10 honor. He was named rookie of the week on Feb. 6, 2012.
