Duquesne's men's track & field team placed 13th at the Morgan State Legacy Meet April 18-19 in Baltimore, Md.
The 4x100 meter relay of Paul Blinn, Tyler Pirilla, Shakeil Carter and Joe Borsuk had the top finish for DU, placing third with a time of 42.26.
Also placing in the top 10 were Ian Welch who was fourth in the long jump with a leap of 22-09.00. Welch was also seventh in the triple jump with a distance of 46-04.25.
Jared Horne took fifth in the high jump with a height of 6-02, good for 11th best in the A-10 this season and fourth best among freshmen. Also placing fifth was Alex Gladysiewski who threw the javelin 191-04. He was followed by Kevin Yacker in eighth place with a toss of 170-04.
Kyle Trinch took 8th in the 400 intermediate hurdles with a time of 54.71 which was eighth best in the conference this year and second best among freshmen.
Rounding out the top 10 DU finishers was Sean King who placed 10th in the decathalon with a score of 4931, which was highlighted by a second place showing in the discus portion with a hurl of 100-10.
The Dukes return to action on Thursday, April 24 as they compete in the three-day Penn Relays.
