Duquesne University sophomore tennis player Pete Carpenter (Alburtis, Pa./St. Stephen's Episcopal School) has been named the Atlantic 10 Performer of the Week for the week ending Feb. 19.
Carpenter improved to 13-6 in singles action by defeating both of his opponents over the weekend as the Dukes defeated Temple, 4-3 on Feb. 17 and Saint Joseph's, 5-2 on Feb. 18. He also combined with Max Rubine to capture a win at number two doubles versus SJU.
The Red and Blue return to action on Wednesday, Feb. 22 as they host Youngstown State at 10:00 am and St. Francis (Pa.) at 1:30 pm at The Club Sport and Health in Monroeville.
