NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - With her shutout of defending Northeast Conference champion Saint Francis, Pa. on Friday night, Duquesne goalkeeper Devon Tabata was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Rookie of the Week.

Tabata faced 13 shots and made six stops as the Dukes defeated SFU for the first time since the 2004 season.

Up next for the Dukes (1-1-0) will be a weekend against a pair of Big Ten schools. On Friday, Aug. 26th, the Dukes play Michigan followed by Michigan State on Sunday, Aug. 28th. Both matches are part of the 2011 Michigan Invitational played at U-M Soccer Complex.
