Duquesne's lacrosse team suffered its first set-back of the 2011 season with an 11-7 loss to #19 Boston College at the United Sports Training Center in Downingtown, Pa.

The Dukes, who trailed 6-2 at the half, battled hard in the second half and were within a 9-7 reach of the Eagles late in the contest.

Meredith Dunn led the Red and Blue with three goals, followed by Haley Marafioti with two. Casey Denk and Cailin Colegrove also scored while Katie Rekart had the lone DU assist.

Amy Gladfelter, Aubrey Green and Courtney Lambert each had four ground balls while Green and Lambert added three caused turnover apiece. Dunn had three draw controls and Liz Walker made 10 saves in goal.

The Dukes return to action on Sunday, Feb. 27 as they host Notre Dame at 1:00 p.m. on Rooney Field.
