MUNCIE, Ind. - Jocelyn Floyd came within two assists and a rebound of recording a quadruple-double as the Duquesne women's basketball team improved to 12-2 on the season after an 86-51 victory over Ball State on Sunday afternoon.
Floyd finished with career-highs of 12 points, 10 rebounds, nine steals and eight assists.
"Jocelyn was amazing today," said head coach Suzie McConnell-Serio. "She really stepped up today both offensively and defensively. This was an incredible performance all-around."
Wumi Agunbiade scored a game-high 16 points and Alex Gensler added 12 for DU who extended its program-best road winning streak to eight games. Agunbiade was one rebound shy of her sixth double-double of the season.
Duquesne, coming off its best shooting game of the season in a 62-50 win over Austin Peay on Dec. 30, recorded season-highs of 32 field goals, 35 caused turnovers and 23 steals while tying a season-high with 24 assists.
Agunbiade's 3-pointer from the top of the arc at 13:51 of the first half gave the Dukes its first double-digit lead of the game at 14-3. DU would increase its lead to 16 points on a Gensler jumper 16 seconds before halftime which made the score 43-27.
By the 17:16 mark of the second half, Floyd's layup gave DU's a 20 point lead at 48-28 and a Samantha Pollino 3-pointer with 5:41 left made the score 71-41. Floyd's layup with 27 seconds remaining gave the Dukes its largest lead of the game - and the season - at 35 points ending the game at 86-51.
"This was an incredible team effort all-around," added Coach Serio. "Everybody contributed today from top to bottom."
Duquesne outscored Ball State 32-16 in the paint and scored 32 points off BSU turnovers. The Dukes' bench outscored the Cardinals' bench 35-26, led by Kelly Britcher with 11

GAME NOTES - Floyd's previous career highs were 11 points, eight rebounds, six assists and five steals
- Duquesne finishes its 2010-11 non-conference road schedule 8-1
- The eight road wins is the most in NCAA Division I
- Duquesne finished 5-0 against Mid-American Conference schools, outscoring Akron, Ball State, Buffalo, Miami, and Ohio by a score of 395-279
- Maggert, who had 25 points and 15 rebounds in Ball State's 71-62 victory last season, was held to just 10 and six rebounds in today's game
- 35 points was the largest margin of since a 100-69 win at Niagara last season
- Diana Voynova scored a season-high seven points off the bench, Orsi Szecsi and Carly Vendemia each tied a career-highs with three assists and Ahjah Hall recorded a career-best four free throws made
