PITTSBURGH - Duquesne graduate student Erin Conroy (Tallahassee, Fla./ John Paul II) was named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America District 2 At-Large team.
Conroy, who completed her first year with the Dukes this past season, came to the Bluff from Florida Southern College after earning her English degree in three years. She finished her first year working towards her masters degree in integrated marketing communications with a 3.95 GPA including a perfect 4.0 GPA for the Spring 2010 semester.
In addition on being named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America Team, Conroy was also to the 2010 Atlantic 10 All-Conference Second-Team as well as the A-10's All-Academic team. She finished the 2009-10 season picking up a career-high 36 wins, including a team-best 17 victories in singles.
