Duquesne University tennis players seniors Jeremy McClelland (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) and Gustavo Villares (Guaynabo, PR/Colegio San Ignacio) and junior Mikhael Rasner (Hudson, Ohio/Hudson) have all been named to various 2010 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis All-Conference Teams in voting conducted among the conference coaches. McClelland was named First Team All-Conference and to the All-Academic Team while Rasner and Villares were named Second Team All-Conference.
A two-time Atlantic 10 Second Team All-Conference selection, McClelland went 2-2 at the Atlantic 10 Championship, winning both of his matches at #2 doubles and dropping two decisions at #1 singles. For the season, he led the Dukes with 18 victories in doubles play and also added 14 singles wins for 32 total triumphs. McClelland finished his career second all-time in career victories at Duquesne with 143.
Rasner was second on the team with 33 combined wins in 2009-10. He posted a 19-4 singles record and turned in a 14-9 doubles mark. He won both of his singles matches at the Atlantic 10 Championship and went 7-1 against Atlantic 10 competition for the season.
Villares led the Dukes with a school record 25 victories and also led the team with 42 combined wins which is good for sixth best all-time in a season at Duquesne. He went 13-2 against Atlantic 10 competitors this year, including an 8-0 mark in singles play. He sits fifth all-time in career wins with 111.
