Red and Blue Compete at Duke Invitational

Duke Invitational / Stanford Invitational

Duquesne's men's track and field team competed in the Duke Invitational April 2-3 and several Dukes set personal or season best times.

Cedric Love placed ninth in the 400 meter dash with a time of 48.86 while Alexander Barrette ran a personal best 50.54.

Other top times/distances came as Chris Peppler ran a personal best time of 22.56 in the 200 meter dash, Brian Uhrinek had a season-best toss of 162-08 in the javelin and Vibert Defreitas and Alex Federinko each had season best leaps in the triple jump with 45-07.00 and 43-09.75.

Competing elsewhere for the Dukes was distance runner Mike Stolar. He improved on his school record time in the 10,000 meter run, by finishing 15th at the Stanford Invitational with a time of 29:35.91.

The Dukes head to Lewisburg, Pa. this weekend for the Bucknell Open and Distance Carnival. The two-day event begins on Friday.
