DURHAM, N.C. - The Duquesne women's track and field team participated in the 2010 Duke Invitational this past weekend. Several runners, jumpers and throwers set personal-bests in the event including Danielle Siciliano's school record in the pole vault with a jump of 11-9.75.
In the 200m Taylor Glenn (26.77) and Diane Durkin (26.87) both set personal bests.
Nicole Cherok (1:03.87) and Amanda Collins (1:04.76) ran their PR in the 400m hurdles with Nicole McKeone finishing with her second-best time (1:05.50).
Sidney Schwab's throw of 122-11 in the javelin was seventh overall and Laura Barnhart threw for a season best 112-10 followed by Mindy Haulman with a 160-1.
In the weight throw, Korrey Willis had a season-best 142-7 in the hammer throw. Ashley Adams making her first appearance in the event, threw a 124.6.
Adams and Willis placed second and third in the shot put with throws of 44-8 and 42-5.25 respectively. Adams was third in the discus (146-5) and Willis was 13th (118-10).
Sierra Larsuel had a season-best in the triple jump with a distance of 36-7.5. She was 20th overall in the long jump (17-0) followed by Mallory Mitchell who was 29th (15-9.5).
The Dukes head to Lewisburg, Pa. this weekend for the Bucknell Open and Distance Carnival. The two-day event begins on Friday.
