Women's Tennis Finishes Seventh at 2010 Atlantic 10 Championship

ST. LOUIS - The Duquesne women's tennis team finished in seventh place this weekend at the 2010 Atlantic 10 Championship held in St. Louis.

On Friday morning, the fourth-seeded Dukes made quick work of #13 Fordham with a 4-1 victory.

Later that afternoon, DU would face #5 George Washington. Although Duquesne took the double point, the Colonials won four of the singles matches to steal a 4-2 victory and advance into the semifinal round.

The Dukes would face #1 Xavier Saturday morning, but could only win at #1 doubles to fall 4-0 and finished seventh overall.
