Duquesne's men's tennis team won its first two head-to-head matches of the season on Oct. 8, downing Robert Morris, 6-1 in the morning and host Carnegie Mellon, 8-1 in the afternoon.
Aram Abgaryan, Jason Berry, Pete Carpernter, Steve Herchko and Max Rubin all went 4-0 on the day, winning both of their singles and doubles matches. Matt Smith captured two victories in doubles action.
The Red and Blue return to action Oct. 29-31 as they wrap up the fall season by competing in the Cornell Invitational.
