Red and Blue Wrap Up Season at IC4A Championship

Six Dukes wrapped up the 2009 track season over the weekend at the IC4A Championship in Princeton, N.J, while one will continue on to the NCAA East Regional.

Derek Dutille, who placed sixth in the 3,000 meter steeplechase with a time of 8:52.44, will continue on to compete in the NCAA East Regional, scheduled for May 30 at 8:10 pm in Greensboro, N.C. His time is the fastest of the year for DU and is 14.56 seconds under the Regional standard.

Mike Stolar finished second in the 10,000 meter run with a time of 30:10.07 to finish his competition for the spring. His time was the third fastest all-time at Duquesne.

Josh Eddy turned in a 14th place finish in the 5,000 meter run with a time of 14:15.40. His time was a personal best and was 2.40 seconds shy of qualifying for the NCAA Regional.

The 4x800 relay team of Mark Bucklaw, Kyle Reeping, Kyle Dorman and Dave Farina placed 15th with a time of 7:35.27 to end their campaign with the third fastest time in Duquesne history.
