Senior Tom Slosky finished fifth and junior Derek Dutille placed 10th in Saturday's steeplechase at the NCAA East Regional in Tallahassee, Fla. Slosky, who finished with a time of 8:52.70, qualifies for his third straight NCAA Championship, June 11-14 in Des Moines, Iowa.
Slosky, who advanced to the finals of last year's NCAA Championship, placed fourth of 41 runners at last year's regional.
Dutille, competing in his second NCAA Regional, ran a 9:01.18 in the 31-runner event. Last season, he finished 19th of 41 runners at the regional with a time of 9:06.42.
