MOON TOWNSHIP - Coming five off five straight games away from Pittsburgh, three against nationally ranked opponents, the Duquesne lacrosse team notched its first win of the season after a 19-4 victory at Robert Morris Wednesday afternoon.

Kat McNish led all scorers with five points and Shannon Hadaway scored on all four of her shots to lead DU to their third consecutive win over RMU.

The Dukes got on the board less than a minute into the match when Meghan Frederick scored the first of her three goals. McNish set up Hadaway 49 seconds later to put the Duquesne up 2-0.

Hadaway scored an unassisted goal before the Colonials got on the board at the 26:53 mark of the first half.

Ashley Wood and McNish would add goals for the Dukes to give them a 5-1 lead. Robert Morris' Jenn Collins would score midway through the half to get RMU within three goals at 5-2

Duquesne would score 10 straight times including Janna Faulkner's goal at 28:22 of the second half put the Dukes up 12-2 and started the running clock due to the "10 goal rule".

Keri Drexel, Kim Schindel and Sarah Carson would add goals for the Dukes. The 19 total goals were the most for the team since they scored 20 against Monmouth March 2, 2007.

The Dukes toughest challenge of the season will be Friday night as they visit three-time defending NCAA Champion and No. 1 ranked Northwestern.
