Michael Ortega and Mark Maciuch Named All-Conference

Duquesne University tennis players Michael Ortega (Guaynabo, PR/Colegio Rosa Bell) and Mark Maciuch (Chicago, IL/Loyola Academy) have been named to the 2007 Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis All-Conference teams in voting conducted among the conference coaches. Ortega, a junior, was tabbed a first team selection while freshman Maciuch was named to the second team.

Ortega went 4-0 at the Atlantic 10 Championship, including a 3-0 mark at number two singles. He compiled an impressive 20-7 doubles record for the season along with a 19-10 singles mark to lead the team with 39 combined victories.

Maciuch posted a 23-8 singles record in his initial collegiate campaign after going 3-0 at the A-10 Championship. His 23 victories ties him for second all-time at Duquesne. Maciuch added 14 doubles triumphs to combine for 37 wins, second best for the Red and Blue.

The Dukes posted a 17-10 record and placed fifth of 13 teams at the 2007 Atlantic 10 Championship.
