ERIE, PA - The Duquesne women's tennis team closed out the fall season with a 9-0 victory over Mercyhurst Saturday afternoon.

Zena Willams continued her excellent season as she defeated Jennifer Daly 6-2, 6-1 at the No. 1 singles. After dropping the first set 4-6, Johanna Bezjak came back to beat Kim Ezzo 6-4, 6-1 at No. 2 singles. Rachel McGowan was victorious over Jaclyn McLean 6-2, 6-3 at No. 3 singles. Rebecca Poole was a 6-1, 6-1 winner over Meghan Raynor at No. 4 singles. Andrea Sailor bested Elizabeth Mullane 6-3, 7-6 in the No. 5 singles and Lanna Buehler defeated Kelton Macke 6-3, 6-1 at No. 6 singles.

In doubles action, the duo of Bezjak and McGowan disposed of Daly and Ezzo 6-1 at No. 1 doubles, while the teams of Williams/Pole and Alexandria Albano /Sailor were 6-4 winners at Nos. 2 and 3 doubles.

The Dukes will be off until they play at Bloomsburg Feb. 1 and Bucknell Feb. 2.
