Duquesne University distance runners sophomore Tom Slosky (Brackenridge, PA/Highlands) and freshman Josh Eddy (Pittsburgh, PA/North Hills) have been named the Atlantic 10 Conference's Men's Track and Field Performer and Rookie of the Week respectively as announced by the league office on Monday.
Slosky won the 3,000 meter steeplechase at the Raleigh Relays, setting a Duquesne record with an NCAA Regional and IC4A Championship qualifying time of 9:02.03. He also helped the Dukes set a school record in the 4x1500 meter relay which placed second with a time of 15:50.93.
Eddy finished 14th in the 10,000 meter run at the Raleigh Relays with an IC4A qualifying time of 30:43.21.
Duquesne returns to action on Saturday, April 1 as the Dukes compete in the Western Pennsylvania Intercollegiate Championship at Carnegie Mellon University.
