Duquesne University's Johanna Bezjak (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Tennis Rookie of the Week an announced by the league office. It is her first weekly A-10 honor this season.

Bezjak led the Dukes to a 5-2 victory over Buffalo in the Spring season opener taking a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 1 singles and an 8-5 No. 2 doubles victory. The win put the Dukes at 4-1 overall for the year.

Bezjak is 11-3 on the season posting a 6-3 singles mark and 5-0 doubles record. She has competed at the No. 1, 2 and 3 singles as well as all three doubles spots.

Duquesne will next travel to Toledo on Friday, Feb. 18, for a 12:00 pm match.
