After tallying three points in a pair of critical Atlantic 10 victories, Duquesne University sophomore defender Emily Sedgwick (Syracuse, NY/The Loomis Chaffey School) has been named to the Soccer Buzz Magazine Elite Team of the Week.

Sedgwick is the program's first-ever selection to the Soccer Buzz Team as she is joined by players from UCLA, Virginia and West Virginia. She assisted on teammate Audra Matthews' game-winning goal in Duquesne's 1-0 (2OT) win over Richmond on Sept. 30 before tallying the game-winner off a corner kick in the 74th minute on Oct. 2 as the Dukes edged Charlotte, 2-1.

Boasting a 7-2-1 overall record, including a 2-1-0 mark in Conference play, Duquesne resumes play on Friday when it visits Saint Joseph's.
