Duquesne University sophomore defender Emily Sedgwick (Syracuse, NY/The Loomis Chaffey School) has been named the Atlantic 10 Women's Soccer Co-Player of the Week for the week ending Oct. 2.

Sedgwick had a hand in both of Duquesne's weekend victories. She assisted on the game-winning goal in Friday's 1-0 double-overtime win over visiting Richmond and scored the game-winning goal off a corner kick in Sunday's 2-1 triumph over Charlotte. She also helped anchor the Duquesne defense which yielded just one goal in 194 minutes.

The Red and Blue return to action on Friday, Oct. 7 as they travel to Saint Joseph's for a 7:00 pm contest.
