Junior Micael Lopez-Acevedo (Guaynabo, PR/Colegio Marista) is the Atlantic 10 Conference's Men's Tennis Co-Player of the Week, the league announced Monday. This is the second award for the Puerto Rican native this season and the fifth overall for the team.
The junior was 3-0 this past weekend with first singles wins over Denison, Dayton, and Wright State as he led the Dukes to a 3-0 record this week and a season mark of 10-9 (6-8 in the spring).
And at second doubles, Lopez-Acevedo took wins from Denison and Dayton. He increased his team-leading singles record to 17-8. Lopez-Acevedo was also named the Atlantic 10 Men's Tennis Player of the Week this past October.
Also receiving conference honors this week is the Dukes' Marcie Hepler who was named the Atlantic 10 Women's Track & Field Co-Performer of the Week.
