Oct. 7, 2001

The Dukes saw their fall record evened at 1-1 on Sunday when the Bucknell Bison edged out a 4-3 win at Lewisburg, PA.

The Dukes, after losing all three doubles contests, came back from that 0-1 deficit by winning the first three singles matches.

David Brady, a junior from Sydney, Australia, topped Alex Davydov, 6-0, 6-4, in the first singles match to tie the team score.

Ryan Moseley, a freshman from St Michael, Barbados, won the first set against Nick Denefrio, 6-2. Denefrio came back to tie the match with a 4-6 second set victory. Moseley took the third set, 6-3, to put the Dukes ahead 2-1 in the team competition.

Vicente Arias, (above) a senior from Mexico City, Mexico, topped Scott Allen in two straght sets, 6-4, 6-3 to extend DU's lead to 3-1.

Bucknell won the next three singles contests to pull out the win.

The Dukes return to action this weekend at the Dayton Invitational.
