Duquesne University women's soccer has earned a top 10 ranking on the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2001-02 season. The Dukes ranked 10th out of the 97 Division I institutions recognized by the NSCAA.
The awards, which are released the following season, honor teams that post a minimum grade point average of 3.00 (based on a 4.00 scale) for the entire academic year.
Last season, 10 Dukes boasted a 3.40 grade point average or better for the entire year, which included two student-athletes with perfect 4.00 grade point averages for the spring semester.
