Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Duquesne University triathlon team earned recognition as a College Triathlon Coaches Association (CTCA) Scholar All-American Team, while a program-best five Dukes garnered individual honors. Robyn Hunt, Abby Kreber, Rachele Lavagno, Kadence Ribbink and Catherine Staley were all named Division I Scholar All-American Honorable Mention selections.

The Dukes posted a ninth-place finish in Division I at the national championship for the second consecutive year and secured their second Scholar All-America Team honor in the program's three-year history.

Duquesne's five individual honorees come on the heels of back-to-back seasons with four Dukes earning honorable mention recognition. To qualify, a student-athlete must compete at the national championship and maintain a 3.5 cumulative GPA through the fall semester.

Hunt is now a three-time Honorable Mention Scholar All-American, while Kreber, Lavagno, Ribbink and Staley each earned their first career honors. All five were ranked throughout the season among the top 100 individuals in women's collegiate triathlon and competed at the national championship.

Ribbink led the Dukes on the course with a 31st-place national finish — the highest in program history. Hunt (finance) and Lavagno (civil engineering) each turned in 4.0 GPAs during the fall semester and carry cumulative GPAs above 3.9. First-years Staley (3.93 GPA, civil engineering) and Ribbink (3.64 GPA, marketing) also excelled in the classroom, while Kreber maintained above a 3.5 as a psychology major.
