Clermont, Fla. – Freshman Catherine Staley claimed first place in the NCAA Super Sprint on Sunday at the Clermont Draft Legal as the Dukes concluded the 2025-26 campaign. Staley completed the 375-meter swim, 10K bike (two loops) and 2.5K run (one loop) in 33:21. The freshman from Geneseo, N.Y., closed with the fastest run split of the race (9:53) and paced Duquesne across all three segments, including a 5:15 swim (third-fastest overall) and 6:01 bike.

Junior Kate Potashnik placed 10th in 34:48, while freshman Mikele Jopson finished 12th in 35:01, recording a 9:54 run split — the second-fastest in the field behind Staley. Robyn Hunt added a 19th-place finish in 35:42, giving the Dukes four top-20 performers.

2025-26 SEASON WRAP UP

Duquesne placed ninth in Division I for the second consecutive year at the Women's Collegiate Triathlon National Championships in November. Freshman Kadence Ribbink recorded the best individual finish in program history at nationals, placing 31st out of 190 competitors. She also delivered the program's first top-20 finish at the East National Qualifier and won the Duquesne Invitational in September. Staley's victory Sunday gave the Dukes two individual race champions during the 2025-26 campaign, and Duquesne maintained a top-10 national ranking throughout the season.
