Swimming & Diving Named CSCAA Fall Scholar All-America Team

Pittsburgh, Pa. – The College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) announced Tuesday that the Duquesne University swimming and diving team has been named a Scholar All-America Team for the Fall 2025 semester.

To earn this prestigious recognition, teams were required to achieve a grade point average (GPA) of 3.0 or higher during the Fall 2025 semester. The CSCAA recognized a total of 709 teams representing 414 institutions nationwide as Scholar All-America Teams for the semester.

Under the guidance of head coach David Sheets, the Dukes posted an impressive 3.81 team GPA among 25 student-athletes during the fall semester, earning the prestigious CSCAA Scholar All-America honor. Duquesne's GPA was tied for the second-highest in the nation across both Division I men's and women's swimming programs, alongside Bowling Green and the University of Kansas.

This recognition is nothing new for the Dukes, who were also named a CSCAA Scholar All-America Team last spring and have maintained a consistent presence on the list for more than a decade. Duquesne continued its academic excellence in the spring semester, recording a 3.79 team GPA among 25 student-athletes.

In total, the CSCAA recognized 709 teams and 16,421 student-athletes for earning Scholar All-America honors based on their outstanding academic performance.

Founded in 1922, the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy, and professional development.
