PITTSBURGH – Duquesne University head football coach Jerry Schmitt announced the Dukes' 2025 team captains on Tuesday, as selected by a vote of the team.
Leading Duquesne this fall will be eight captains: defensive lineman A.J. Ackerman (#16, third straight season), defensive lineman Kevin Kurzinger (#97, third straight season), offensive lineman Cameron McLaurin (#57, second straight season), defensive back Antonio Epps (#5, second straight season), linebacker Tyson Meiguez (#1), offensive lineman Brian Beidatsch, Jr. (#56), defensive lineman Jack Dunkley (#92) and tight end Daniel Tarabrella (#21).
Duquesne opens its 98th season on Saturday, Aug. 30, when it travels across town to face Pitt at Acrisure Stadium. It will mark the first meeting between the two programs since 1939. Kickoff is set for noon on ACC Network, with radio coverage available on Fox Sports Pittsburgh (970 AM/iHeartRadio).
