WASHINGTON, D.C. -- Duquesne seniors Amy Allen, Hannah Seitzinger and Halle Walcutt were all named to the Atlantic 10 Indoor Track & Field All-Academic Team on Tuesday. The Dukes had the most competitors named to the team. 

Amy Allen, who has a 3.49 GPA in Occupational Therapy, set a career record in the 400m at SPIRE, finishing with the fourth-best time in program history of 55.31 seconds, which ranked second in the A-10. Allen took home a silver medal in the A-10 Indoor Championships in the 4x400m relay and placed sixth in the 400m at the IC4A/ECAC Championships. 

Hannah Seitzinger rewrote Duquesne record books, recording program-record times in the 500m (1:12.17) and 800m (2:06.01), and achieving the second-best time in DU history in the 400m (55.17 seconds). Seitzinger earned silver medals at the A-10 Championships in both the 500m and the 4x400m relay team. 

Seitzinger boasts a 4.00 GPA in Physician Assistant Studies and is the first DU competitor to be named to the Indoor All-Academic Team four times.

Halle Walcutt won the silver medal in the pentathlon at the A-10 Championships with her score of 3635, the second-best score in the pentathlon in the A-10 all season and the fourth-best score in Duquesne history. Walcutt is a Physician Assistant Studies major with a GPA of 3.94. 

This is the first time since 2004 that Duquesne has had three or more competitors on the team. Allen, Seitzigner and Walcutt are the fifth trio of Dukes to make the team in the same season in Duquesne history. 

Duquesne will open its outdoor season on Friday and Saturday with the 49er Classic in Charlotte.
