Pittsburgh, Pa. – The Duquesne University bowling team concluded the fall portion of its 2025-26 season Sunday, finishing 10th at the Colonial Lanes Classic in Harahan, La., which was hosted by Tulane. The Dukes posted a record of 7-6 during three days of action and overall this year have recorded a ledger of 27-23 (.540).
CRESCENT CITY
Opening the tournament in Baker play, Duquesne finished with a record of 3-2, knocking down a total of 4,856 total pins in five matches, an average of 194.2 per game. The Dukes opened action near the French Quarter with their top score of the season in Baker, earning a 1,074-957 victory over No. 18 UAB. Following a 1,139-977 setback to No. 5 Wichita State, Duquesne earned a 907-851 win over Texas Southern before falling to the host Green Wave by just three pins, 915-912. Wrapping up Baker play, the Dukes got back in the win column against another ranked foe, knocking off No. 9 Louisiana Tech, 986-957. The lineup for Duquesne in Baker action featured junior

TRADITIONAL
Moving to traditional play Saturday, Duquesne opened with a 1,085-984 loss to No. 3 Vanderbilt before earning consecutive victories, including a 997-944 triumph over Florida A&M as well as a 1,045-1,003 win over No. 7 North Carolina A&T. The Dukes wrapped up traditional action by falling to No. 6 Arkansas State, 941-928, before closing with a 958-853 win over Prairie View A&M. It set Duquesne up Sunday for the opportunity to play for seventh place. The Dukes fell in the opener, 4-2, against No. 4 Youngstown State, with the Penguins winning games five and six to advance. Duquesne responded with a 4-0 sweep of Jackson State, including a 232-138 victory in game two, before falling in five games to No. 8 Sam Houston State to finish 10th.
THANKSGIVING
Junior
Maribeth Baker carried over her strong play from NEC #1 into the Colonial Lanes Classic this weekend, finishing second individually to garner all-tournament team honors. In the five matches Saturday, she averaged 223.80, knocking down a total of 1,119 pins. She trailed only Mia Stolakis of Tulane, who, playing in her home alley, posted 1,182 total pins and an average score of 236.40. The best game for Baker in traditional play came in the victory over the Aggies, as she fired a 247. Baker also closed with a 233 against the Red Wolves as well as a 228 in the triumph over the Rattlers.
THE LINEUP
Garnering a top 20 finish during traditional play was Fraticelli, who finished 16th thanks to 1,034 total pins in five games, an average of 206.80. She opened traditional action with a 222 against the Commodores and closed Saturday's action with a 226 in the victory over Prairie View A&M. The 226 is a career high, which she originally established as a freshman before matching in the last competition for the Dukes at NEC #1 against Monmouth. Also logging five full matches in traditional was Scott, who closed with an average of 194.60, and Siekierski, who posted an average score of 186.80.
STRIKES & SPARES
Scott opened traditional action with a 201 and also posted a 214 against Arkansas State … Siekierski rolled a 216 in the win over Florida A&M as well as a 223 in the triumph over North Carolina A&T … Miller played four games of traditional, logging a 181 in the victory over the Rattlers and finishing at 168.25 overall … Sophomore
Anna Clark contributed a 179 as the Dukes closed out traditional play with the win over Prairie View A&M … In the first game of the tournament in Baker play against UAB, the Dukes fired a 232, which stood as the top score until the final game of the day as Duquesne logged a 245 to close out the win over Louisiana Tech.
UP NEXT
Duquesne returns to action in January of 2026 with the Northeast Classic, which is set for Friday, Jan. 16, through Sunday, Jan. 18, in New Castle, Del., at Bowlerama and is hosted by Sacred Heart.
