TYRONE, Pa. -- The Duquesne University women's cross country team won its season-opening meet on Saturday at Saint Francis with 40 points and five finishers in the top 11.
MEET RESULTS
Senior
Haley Hamilton led the way for the Dukes, charting a 14:27.80 in third place.
Ryley Schwalm (14:49.30 - 7th place),
Gina Bolla (14:53.10 - 9th place),
Brooke Krally (14:55.60 - 10th place) and
Morgan Roemer (14:56.60 - 11th place) completed the scorers for the winning squad.
Duquesne had 17 runners finish in the top half of the 82-runner field and 10 raced in the top 20.
Liv Wilson (15:03.60) and
Addy Ciecierski (15:04.40) finished back-to-back in 13th and 14th.Â
Kate Saum (15:20.50 - 17th place),
Mara Whalen (15:25.90 - 19th place) and
Ava Brewster (15:29.60 - 20th place) rounded out the double-digit Dukes in the top 20.
UP NEXT
After a week off, Duquesne will take a trip to Penn State for the Spiked Shoe Invitational and a preview of the NCAA regional course on Friday, September 13.
