- Duquesne has athletes in the top-five of the league in 16 events heading into the weekend.
- Jamelah Carswell (1:01.10) owns the top 400m hurdle time, while Anna Rorrer (1:04.30) and Eva Leatherman (1:04.88) are fourth and fifth.
- Halle Walcutt owns the second-best heptathlon score (4674) this season in the A-10 and Carswell sits third at 4534.
- Hannah Seitzinger (800m), Haley Hamilton (3k steeplechase), Vincent Rupp (high jump), Sadie Wetzel (high jump), Madelyn Moretti (shot put), and Mia Pierce (discus) all rank third in their respective league standings entering the weekend ... Moretti also is fourth in the discus.
- The Dukes women's 4x400, men's 4x800, and women's 4x800 all have the fourth-fastest times in the conference so far in 2024.
ROOKIE OF THE WEEKS
- Vincent Rupp earned A-10 Rookie of the Week after winning the Red Flash Open this past weekend with a 2.01m (6' 7") high jump, which ranks second all time at Duquesne ... Rupp has cleared a top-five mark in DU program history in three of five meets to start his Dukes career.
- Mia Pierce was named the A-10 Rookie of the Week on April 9 after placing fourth in discus (43.34m / 142' 2") and fifth in javelin (38.84m / 127' 5") mark at George Mason's Dalton Ebanks Invitational.
THIS SEASON IN THE RECORD BOOK
- WOMEN'S RECORD BOOK
- Madelyn Moretti's 14.72m (48' 3.5") shot put last weekend was her second reset of her own school record this season, surging past her previous record of 14.50m set two weeks ago at Bucknell.
- Hannah Seitzinger bettered her second-fastest time in DU history in the 800m with a career-best 2:07.29 at Bucknell ... Liv Wilson charted the fifth-fastest time in the same race with a 2:10.80.
- Megan Penrod moved up to second on the all-time list in the javelin with a 42.71m (140' 1") at George Mason.
- Ezra Johnson-Mills set a personal-best mark to 48.80m in the women's hammer throw on opening weekend at the CMU Invitational, placing her second all-time at DU.
- Halle Walcutt (4674 points) and Jamelah Carswell (4534 points) bettered their third and fourth-place standings in the record book in the heptathlon with strong outings at Bucknell ... Carswell also entered the top-five in the 400m hurdles with the fourth-fastest time ever at DU (1:01.10) ran at Bucknell.
- Amber McCool set a new personal best in the javelin (41.29m / 135' 5") at George Mason to become fifth all-time at Duquesne.
- Haley Hamilton PR'd in the 3000m steeplechase for the second time this season with a 10:36.66 at the Bison Outdoor Classic, ranking fifth all-time at Duquesne ... Hamilton also moved into fifth all-time at DU in the 1500m at Ohio State with a 4:34.43.
- Freshman Mia Pierce recorded Duquesne's fifth-best discus mark at the Bison Outdoor Classic with a 45.83m (150' 4") throw.
- MEN'S RECORD BOOK
- Freshman Vincent Rupp moved into sole possession of second on the all-time top-five list in Duquesne history for the high jump with a clear of 2.01m (6' 7") ... Rupp joined the top-five on opening weekend with a 1.95m at NC State, then tied John Clifford's second-best mark in school history (1.98m) from 2007 at Bucknell prior to last weekend's career best for sole ownership of second.
