FAIRFAX, Va. -- The Duquesne University men's track and field team wrapped up the 2024 season at the IC4A/ECAC Outdoor Championships this weekend at George Mason Stadium.
RESULTS
Nine Dukes competed during the three-day championship meet. Freshman
Vincent Rupp led the way with a fifth-place finish in the high jump, clearing 1.98m (6' 6") and earning 3.5 team points. Rupp finishes his first season in the Red and Blue ranking second all-time at Duquesne in the high jump with a season-high 2.01m clear at Saint Francis in late April, the highest mark for a Duke in nearly two decades since Mike Murawski set the 2.04m program record in 2005. Rupp cleared at least 1.89m in all six of his meets this season.
Senior
Cam Mbalo was the lone other point scorer with one point in eighth place of the triple jump behind a long of 14.36m (47' 1.5") on his second attempt.
Junior
David Williams clocked a 47.91 in the 400m, his fourth sub-48 time of his career just a week after his PR 47.61 at the Atlantic 10 Championships. Williams finished in 11th place in this weekend's IC4A meet.
Freshman
Christian Cupp posted a 6.59m (21' 7.5") mark in the long jump and junior
Nick Curci had a long of 43.57m (142' 11") in the discus throw, both finishing 15th in their respective events.
Duquesne's 4.5 team points ranked 28th in the meet. Navy won the team title with 133 points. For full team standings,
